Description:

Lesser sand plover is small size species under plover group (about 20 cm). In non-breeding season the male and female are similar with sandy greyish-brown upperparts, whitish forehead and supercilium, and greenish-grey legs and feet. In breeding season, the male has distinctive, with black forehead and deep orange-rufous sides of neck and broad breast-band.
