Cốc đế là loài có kích thước lớn nhất trong nhóm chim cốc (khoảng 90 cm). Chim có bộ lông đen bóng với mảng trắng nổi bật dưới má và phần lông mặt màu hơi vàng. Khi bay, cổ chim tương đối to, cánh rộng và đuôi ngắn.

Description:

Great cormorant is the biggest sized species in the cormorant group (about 90 cm). It has glossy black plumage with a prominent white patch on lower sides of it’s head and yellow facial skin. In flight, it appears relatively thick-necked, large-winged and short-tailed.
