Description:

Red-necked stint is a small-sized species in the sandpiper group (about 15 cm). In non-breeding season, it has short white supercilium, thick and straight black bill, uniform greyish upperside with dark shaft-streaks, white underparts with fairly distinct greyish lateral breast-patches, and black legs and feet.
