Rẽ lưng đen là loài có kích thước nhỏ trong nhóm rẽ (khoảng 15 cm). Chim có mỏ tương đối dài và dày. Ngoài mùa sinh sản, chim có thân trên màu nâu xám nhạt, thân dưới màu trắng, chân màu vàng pha xanh lá cây. Trong mùa sinh sản, thân trên chim màu nâu pha xanh ô lưu, mặt đầu và ngực màu nâu đậm.

Description:

Temminck’s stint is small sized species in sandpiper group (about 15 cm). It has relatively long and thick bill. In non-breeding season, it has greyish-brown upperparts, white underparts and greenish-yellow legs and feet. In breeding season, it has more dull olive-brown upperparts ,and washed brown sides of head and breast.
