Mô tả:

Trèo cây trán đen là loài có kích thước trung bình trong nhóm trèo cây (khoảng 13 cm). Chim trống có trán đen, sọc mỏng sau mắt màu đen, mỏ đỏ sáng, thân trên màu xanh da trời tím và thân dưới màu trắng mờ. Chim mái giống chim trống nhưng không có sọc đen sau mắt.

Description:

Velvet-fronted nuthatch is medium sized species in nuthatch group (about 13 cm). Male has black forehead, narrow post-ocular stripe, bright red bill,  violet-blue upperparts and whitish underparts. Female is similar to male but post-ocular stripe.
